More than 500 shoppers came out to hunt jewelry treasures, explore the vendor market, sample tasty chili and raise money for St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care.
On the heels of a late-season snowstorm, a sunny Spring day welcomed more than 500 shoppers to the St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care Springtime Chili and Jewelry Sale. The event, held at St. Ann Center’s Stein Campus on March 23, raised $5,000 toward client health and wellness services at the Stein and Bucyrus campuses, and featured a huge variety of vintage jewelry carefully curated and priced to sell.
The Vendor Market featured 30 sellers, offering everything from springtime plants to handmade body care to laser-crafted wall-art to luscious baked goods, whimsical glass home and garden accessories. and much more. St Ann Center President Edna Lonergan was also on hand to sell her handmade jewelry creations from her Stein campus boutique.
“We are so pleased with the success of the event, the new and longtime vendors and chili donors, and everyone who came out and hopefully found some treasures,” said Lori Grzybowski, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at St. Ann Center.

To keep shoppers fueled, 16 local restaurants donated chili — from beefy Texas brisket to vegan three-bean and every kind in between — which shoppers could enjoy while relaxing in the veranda and listening to folk tunes from Cream City Folk. And FOX6 News Milwaukee was on hand to capture it all.
Our next Chili & Jewelry Sale will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. Jewelry donations can be dropped off at our Stein Campus from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. weekdays throughout the year.
If your restaurant would like to donate chili or you are interested in becoming a vendor, please contact Associate Director of Marketing and Fund Development, Lori Acken at lacken@stanncenter.org or 414-977-5032.
