St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care will celebrate its 12th annual Fulfilling the Dream Gala on Friday, July 22, in Chrome, at the Harley-Davidson Museum® . With the theme, An Uplifting Experience, the gala will highlight the joyful spirit of the Center, a nationally acclaimed day care program that serves children, older adults and people with special needs in one home-like setting.

The event begins at 6 p.m., when guests step into an atmosphere filled with mini hot air balloons and clouds created by Majic Productions. The evening features a silent and live auction, buffet dinner by Levy Restaurants and live music by vocalist Janet O’Mahony and Mark Thierfelder on piano. Showcased in the live auction are a Milwaukee Bucks Suite for 12, a Milwaukee Brewers Club Box for 14, an all-inclusive, four-night Cancun vacation for two, and an Arizona getaway for four in January 2017.

All proceeds from the gala support St. Ann Center’s Care Champions program, which directly benefits youth, frail elderly and adults with disabilities who have no means to pay for services they desperately need. The gala will also honor St. Ann Center supporters, the Care Champions who make these services possible. From whirlpool baths, PT, OT, art and music therapy, adult day services promote independence and a sense of purpose.  Youngsters in St. Ann Center’s early childhood education program learn to understand and respect the adult clients as they join them for activities on a daily basis.

The gala will also spotlight the growth of St. Ann Center, from the opening of its Stein Campus, 2801 E. Morgan Avenue, in 1999, to its replication in 2015, when the Bucyrus Campus opened at 2450 W. North Avenue. The new campus will allow the Center to more than double the number of people served, while bringing jobs to residents on Milwaukee’s near north side.

St. Ann Center would like to thank Marji Singer, MHS Health Wisconsin, CG Schmidt and all the generous sponsors who support the gala and the continued care for all ages and abilities at both campuses.
