St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care celebrated the 25th anniversary of its mission Oct. 5 at the Stein Campus, where it all began. Per the evening’s “sneaker ball” dress code, the unseasonably balmy October evening saw guests dressed in gala finery, accented with sneakers of all styles allowing guests to enjoy campus tours to show off our progress in comfort.
In the campus’s greenery and fairy light-filled atrium, attendees perused silent and super-silent auction items ranging from tropical getaways to Packers and Brewers adventures to luxurious local date nights and dining experiences, and more. Guests also shopped for beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces created by St. Ann Center founder Sr. Edna Lonergan, noshed on heavy appetizers, sliders for every taste, and decadent desserts, while sipping delicious cocktails and mocktails, all provided by Brazen Standard hospitality group.
The evening was graciously emceed by Wisconsin Public Television’s Portia Young, while longtime Marquette and Milwaukee sports announcer Steve “The Homer” True served as a lively and comical auctioneer.
Proceeds from the evening help support the St. Ann Center Mission of loving and family-like day programming for adults with special needs, seniors with physical and memory loss challenges, plus children of all abilities.
