Parents and Teachers Are Partners at St. Ann Center

Communication is key in St Ann Center’s childcare program. Recently, at the Stein Campus, parents had a chance to meet one-on-one with Mary Joas, Vice President of Childcare and Education Services and Angie Burbey, Director of Childcare to talk about a topic of great importance—their children.

“Families are a key element in our childcare program, and it is important to build a positive relationship with the family of each child in our care,” says Ms. Joas. Here’s what one parent had to say about what St. Ann Center means to her family:

“I can’t say enough about the ladies of Ladybugs 1 and 2. They do such an incredible job with the babies and go out of their way to make sure both the little ones and parents feel welcome and valued. I’m sure the staff in all of the other rooms is just as amazing as in Ladybug… but I have to say I will be very sad to leave our Ladybug friends when Finn transitions up in a few months. They are just such a delight!

Thanks to you and all of the staff for the great work that you do. There is no greater gift for a parent than being able to leave your child at daycare and not have to worry about his safety or well-being. I joke with the Ladybug staff that Finn gets better service at day care than he does at home when they have his breakfast waiting for him when we arrive in the morning.” – Annie K.
