Since August, many excited things have happened to move our Bucyrus Campus project forward. Here is a summary of whats new:
- Tim & Vivian Sullivan’s Million Dollar Match ended in August. It brought in an additional $1,039,235.00! Thank you to Judy & John Gardetto and all the other generous donors who contributed to this match.
- CG Schmidt began preliminary site work to prepare for construction groundbreaking.
- St. Ann Center and Zimmerman Architectural Studios have been working with the city, who generously donated the land for $1, to finish all the necessary paperwork and permits making the purchase of the land official.
- Earl Buford, from the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board, visited our current center and is excited to work us on job placement, training and internship at the new Bucyrus Campus.
- On September 26th, CG Schmidt and American Design hosted a contractor meeting to reach out to 53206 and other local contractors to discuss the bidding and our goal of having 50% minority participation.
