Holly Jolly Happening at Bucyrus Campus

By December 18, 2017No Comments2 min read

Seasonal spirit was flowing at the Bucyrus Campus during the Third Annual Intergenerational Holly Jolly Holiday Program. The festivities were almost hijacked by the Grinch, who attempted to steal all the presents under the atrium tree. Luckily, a stroller-full of St. Ann Center babies from the Stork Room caught him in the act and shared a little love—convincing him to return every last gift.

The kids from the Turtle Room were up next, showing off their finery in a Yuletide fashion show. And the sounds of the season have never been sweeter. The Intergenerational Choir, made up of adult clients and children from the Peacock Room, joined their voices in “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night.” Pastor Tony Phillips and Ms. Michelle, a volunteer with a powerful voice, offered stirring renditions of “O Holy Night.” Judy, a client from the Sarabi Unit, lifted everyone’s spirits with “Up on the Housetop.” Brandy, another talented client, started hands clapping and toes tapping with a Christmas boogie that got all the children up on the dance floor and ringing their jingle bells.

Activity Director Brianna Nimox and Joyce Davis, Vice President of Adult Day Services, wrapped up the festivities, singing a medley of holiday favorites. And to celebrate December 15th, National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, the adult clients decided to flaunt their gaudiest attire…along with always fashionable smiles.
