Visitors to St. Ann Center’s Stein Campus on Friday, Feb. 2 may have thought they’d time traveled back to the Wild West … or, at least, do-si-doed down to the farm.
Cozy caps and winter boots gave way to cowboy hats, kerchiefs and an array of cowboy kicks. Flannel and fringe subbed in for sweatshirts and sweaters.
When the time came for some toe tapping and boot scootin’, Waukesha’s own Lindsay Shanks got even the tiniest buckeroos on the dance floor with downhome sounds, from today’s top country hits to the golden age of country & western. Afterward, our adult clients took a turn warbling western tunes during country karaoke.
But the hoedown fun was far from done.
A “wanted poster” photo let even the jolliest ranchers get their outlaw on — at least for a minute. And the TikTok Club made merry with makeshift lassos, tiny tractors and close-enough cows and chickens.
Check out more of the western-themed fun on Facebook and Instagram.
