The second graders of Willow Glen Primary School in St. Francis warmed up winter considerably when they visited St. Ann Center’s Stein Campus on Martin Luther King Day. After touring the building, and meeting many of our children and adult clients, the kids sang a medley of songs celebrating the season.
Their toe-tapping choreographed numbers included Better Bundle Up; Snowman, Where Did You Go? and Winter Is My Favorite Season. A spirited rendition of Sing, from Sesame Street fame, was both sung and performed in sign language. The students left everyone smiling as they took turns reading What a Wonderful World.
Judging by the applause from our childcare youngsters and adult clients, winter is everyone’s favorite season…at least for today!
