St. Ann Center proposes Northside Milwaukee Location

By June 3, 2013No Comments1 min read

The Business Journal, serving greater Milwaukee, wrote about us in February as we were seeking approval of our proposal for the Northside:

The St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care plans to open a facility on Milwaukee’s north side, pending approvals from the city of Milwaukee.

The Sisters of St. Francis already run a facility in St. Francis at 2801 E. Morgan Ave. The center provides community-based health and educational services for children and frail adults and serves as a resource for caregivers, according to its website.

The proposed St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care on the north side would be on land near West North Avenue at North 24th and 25th streets.

The Sisters of St. Francis are seeking approval from the Milwaukee Common Council to buy the land, said spokesman Ron Zeilinger.

“Details of this project will be made available should the necessary approvals be successfully procured,” Zeilinger said via email.

The St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care has offered to purchase the properties from the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, according to a council filing.
