Groundbreaking & Gratitude Ceremony for St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care -Bucyrus Campus

St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care is excited to announce its groundbreaking and gratitude ceremony on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 10:00am. The new Bucyrus Campus on 24th and North Avenue will be a replication of their current facility located on Milwaukee’s Southside for over 30 years.   The Bucyrus Campus will create over 200 local jobs and feature an 8,000 square foot indoor intergenerational playground, warm water therapy pool, and a 500 person outdoor bandshell.

St. Ann Center provides health and educational day services to clients from the age of 4 weeks to 100 and beyond. It is the mission of St. Ann Center to serve the underserved while creating a caring community that keeps loved ones out of institutions or isolated at home.

The Board of Directors and friends of St. Ann Center would like to invite you to share in this exciting groundbreaking and gratitude ceremony. Come enjoy intergenerational performances, light refreshments and blessing of the grounds that will soon provide care for over 300 local children and adults. Special remarks will be made by Tim Sullivan, Mayor Tom Barrett, County Supervisor David Bowen, and Sister Edna Lonergan. This event will also give attendees the opportunity to learn how they can become involved in this amazing project.

St. Ann Center has partnered with numerous organizations and foundations to make this dream for the Northside a reality, including but not limited to, the Zilber Family Foundation, Parklawn Assembly of God, Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Fondy Foods, Lena’s Food Market, Blessed Deliverance Church, the City of Milwaukee, Next Door, Marketplace BID 32, Walnut Way Conservation Corp., Coffee Makes You Black, American Design, The Dominican Center, OHMS Program, and Bridging the Gap.

This groundbreaking and gratitude ceremony is a huge step forward in continuing St. Ann Center’s vision to provide caring services across the city of Milwaukee. Join us for this celebration of all ages and abilities.
