Bucyrus Campus Knows How to Christmas Party

By December 16, 2020No Comments1 min read

Christmas came early at the Bucyrus Campus on a nippy Wednesday in mid-December. And the clients in the Ubuntu adult unit were ready…with holiday spirit to spare.

Carol, known as “Christmas Carol” this time of year, lived up to her nickname. A natural born singer, she led her fellow clients in a merry medley including “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Silent Night” and “Holly, Jolly Christmas.” DeMarcus, another music lover, followed up with a soulful rendition of “This Christmas” by Donny Hathaway, inspiring some impromptu dance moves.

Santa Claus made a surprise visit, greeting each client with a special homemade gift—ornaments hand-painted in the art studio by clients and staff. The festivities wrapped up with a reading by Monica Yarn, Intergenerational Activities Director, of the classic, “A Visit from St. Nicholas.”

As Santa made his exit, more than one sharp-eyed client noted a striking resemblance to Will Kleeba of the Building and Grounds staff. These two have never been seen in the same room together. Coincidence?
