Milwaukee Archbishop Jeffrey S. Grob visited St. Ann Center’s Stein Campus on Tuesday, July 15. It was his first visit to St. Ann Center since coming to Milwaukee after his installation as Archbishop in January.
Sr. Edna Lonergan, OSF, led the tour, which stopped frequently as the Archbishop paused to converse with clients and employees, shaking hands with most but opening his arms to the clients who offered hugs.
He stopped to observe adults playing bingo in Northwest, watch Music Therapist Hannah Goodman’s intergenerational activity with children and adults in Senior Wellness, and commented appreciatively on a client’s art project in the Southwest unit.
From the childcare rooms to the adult care units, to the art room, overnight respite care unit and Outpatient Rehab room, the tour ended near the gazebo in the atrium, where he posed for photos with Sr. Edna, St. Ann Center President Derek Goodman, Board Chairman Tim Sullivan, Chaplain Karin Ziemienski, Stein Campus COO Dayo Akande before conversing with leadership.
