When Reona walks into our doors, she lights up the room. She greets adults with hugs, high-fives every child, and never fails to make someone smile with her cheerful “Hello, Gorgeous.”
However, Reona’s journey to us was not easy. Born with cognitive disabilities in 1959, she spent decades in many unsafe situations relying on the kindness of strangers. Her story is one of heartbreaking hardship, but also one of incredible resilience.
When Reona’s niece, LaVada, brought her to Milwaukee, Reona needed a place where she would be safe, celebrated, and loved. At St. Ann Center, Reona found just that. She now spends her days dancing, creating art, making friends, and sharing her warmth with everyone she meets.
She’s thriving!
We couldn’t accomplish this without your support. It’s your gift today that ensures that more people like Reona have a safe, loving community where they can thrive.
By giving generously, we can ensure that every person who comes through our doors is welcomed, cherished, and loved.
