Indaba Band Shell
In traditional African culture, Indaba refers to a gathering to resolve issues affecting the village, where each individual has a voice and where there is a common story created for all to share after they leave.
True to its namesake, the Indaba Band Shell invites you to join the revitalization of Milwaukee’s near north side through showcasing its beautiful art, dance and music.
A partnership between Parklawn Assembly of God and St. Ann Center, the band shell, to be located on the Bucyrus Campus grounds, aligns with both organizations’ missions. It will serve to bring together youth, individuals with disabilities, adults, families, our elderly, churches and other community organizations. It will be a place where community fairs, artists, concerts, choirs, poets, dance, ministry and other art forms can be celebrated and enjoyed right in the community.
The Indaba Band Shell – the gathering of the community for this important matter – has already started.
