3 year old doing a Turkey Craft

Three’s the charm

When you’re 3, learning and having fun is one and the same…at least at St. Ann Center. Our creative curriculum celebrates the uniqueness of each child by building social, emotional, thinking and physical skills and exploring language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies and the arts.

Here’s what your child will learn:

  • SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS Shares and plays cooperatively with other children; balances needs and rights of self and others
  • LITERACY Knows the alphabet; spells and writes names
  • MATHEMATICS Explores and describes spatial relationships and shapes
  • THE ARTS Explores the visual arts; learns colors
  • SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Uses scientific inquiry skills; explores the Earth’s environment and properties of objects and materials

Intergenerational activities include:

  • Art activities with adults to socialize and enjoy each other’s company
  • Music and socials with adults in our specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care unit (singing, dancing and laughing)

Just for fun:

  • Swimming
  • Music classes
  • Themed art projects
  • Nature walks/studies
  • Hands-on activities, using tools and other technology to perform tasks
  • Periodic field trips to build geographic knowledge and understanding of people and how they live

As our new Bucyrus Campus continues to grow, we will add more special programs to mirror all those available at the Stein Campus. Visit our website often to watch our progress!
